"Christian Women’s Job Corps has and will always be a special place for me. I found this program at a very fragile time in my life.
First and foremost of importance is finally getting the time and information for my GED. I have put off getting this taken care of for ten years. I want to be able to say that I completed my GED, not only for myself, but also for my children. I want my children to know how important it is to complete school.
Secondly, the women involved with Christian Women’s job Corps have all reached out their hands and their hearts without passing judgment. I came into this program to just complete my GED, but got so much more. Ms. Linda is so wonderful and understanding. She has helped me in more ways than I think she knows. Also, Ms. Mary, my mentor, is amazing. I feel like I have my own personal cheerleader! She is always there to help me, or just pat me on the back!
Last, but certainly, not least, would be all the spiritual emphasis such as prayer and Bible study with which our mornings begin. I feel like it is all put into situations I can relate to, therefore helping me understand it. This group has opened my heart to all the possibilities for my future.
I have great respect for everyone involved with CWJC. This program has been a blessing to me and my family. I will be forever grateful."
